IMOGEN MISKIN

Interior Designer

Respecting the architectural integrity of a space is always a priority, while finding ways to enhance how it works and feels for the people living in it.

It’s about striking the right balance; honouring what’s already there, whilst helping clients see new potential in how they use and enjoy their home.

Imogen’s passion for interiors began during the renovation of her family’s home, a dated 1980s property brought back to life, room by room. “Living through the renovation and being involved in every decision, from choosing finishes to sourcing furniture, gave me a real appreciation for the impact of good design.”

Her early experience includes assisting with the transformation of a characterful commercial building into a home and interiors store, followed by a role with a luxury construction company in The Cotswolds. There, she shadowed senior architects and designers on a large-scale residential project, gaining valuable insight into high-end design and project management.

Alongside formal training at KLC School of Design, Imogen works as a Junior Interior Designer with Decorbuddi, supporting both the wider team and her own clients. Her work spans sourcing, space planning, and guiding clients through the design process.

“I love the way interiors can completely shift the mood and functionality of a space. It’s incredibly rewarding to help people create homes that feel personal and uplifting.”

Imogen lives and works in Oxfordshire and the surrounding areas.

What clients say about Imogen

RESIDENTIAL PROJECT, THE COTSWOLDS

“Immy came to meet us for a 'Get Started' consultation when we bought our house in Woodstock. We knew we wanted to reconfigure some of the first floor, replace a bathroom and generally give the whole place a facelift as it was looking tired but we did not know how best to tackle it all.

Immy listened and really understood what we needed. She was able to help us visualise how it could all look and was brilliant at balancing functionality, budget and aesthetics. We then went on and hired her to continue designing the house and overseeing the builders and installation. She took so much stress out of the situation and broke down some of the overwhelming tasks for us into manageable chunks. She was incredibly patient and also great fun to work with. Immy really is passionate about design (to the point where we are sure she had several sleepless nights mulling over fabric choices!) and we would not hesitate to recommend her.”

Interior Design & Implementation, Oxford

“I am writing to say what an amazing job Imogen did for us in sorting out our tiny conservatory/utility room. She helped us create something beyond what I had hoped would be possible and I am truly delighted. The work was not easy as the space is so tiny and my ideas only really formulated once I had started on the process which must have been frustrating for Imogen!

The visits to the house were always productive and the introduction to Adam, our builder, has been a bonus.

Thanks so much for introducing me to working with interior design, I hope we can continue to work on other projects in the house (and garden) as I now have the bit between my teeth! ”

More about Imogen Miskin

Based in the Cotswolds and working across Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Berkshire, Imogen Miskin is a junior interior designer known for her warm, approachable manner and her ability to support clients through both the design and implementation of their projects. She works closely with homeowners who want practical, thoughtful design guidance and help bringing ideas to life, particularly those with busy lifestyles who value clear communication and hands-on support.

Imogen’s work spans a wide range of properties, from country homes and cottages to barn conversions and townhouses across the Home Counties, always with a focus on creating welcoming, well-considered interiors that feel both comfortable and considered.

Background & Career Journey

Imogen’s route into interior design has been shaped by a strong blend of practical experience and professional training. After developing an early, hands-on understanding of how homes evolve through renovation, she went on to gain valuable industry exposure across both residential and commercial environments.

One of her first professional projects involved supporting the conversion of a characterful building in Shipston-on-Stour into a home and interiors showroom, giving her insight into how design concepts translate into real-world spaces. She later worked as a Design Project Coordinator with a luxury construction company in the Cotswolds, where she supported the delivery of a high-end residential project and worked closely with architects, designers and project managers on site.

Alongside this, Imogen spent time working at the established interiors showroom Splendid in Chipping Norton. This role gave her extensive face-to-face experience helping clients make confident decisions around colour, fabrics, wallpapers and bespoke soft furnishings, strengthening her ability to guide homeowners through everyday design challenges with clarity and reassurance.

Imogen joined Decorbuddi in 2021, initially supporting the wider design and purchasing team before progressing into her current role as a Junior Interior Designer. Studying at the KLC School of Design enabled her to build on her practical experience with a deeper understanding of professional processes, technical skills and industry best practice.

Areas Imogen Covers

Imogen works with clients throughout the Cotswolds and Oxfordshire, as well as across Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Berkshire. She is particularly skilled at working with clients who feel unsure about where to start, helping them clarify their ideas and build confidence in their decisions. She has a natural ability to listen, making her especially well suited to supporting busy households who want guidance without feeling overwhelmed. Whether helping to refresh a single room or assisting with a larger project, Imogen focuses on solutions that are achievable, well thought through and suited to everyday living.

Design Support & Implementation

In addition to design development, Imogen has hands-on experience supporting implementation. She assists with sourcing furniture, fabrics and finishes, coordinating with trades and suppliers, and helping projects progress smoothly from concept through to completion. This makes her a reassuring presence for clients who want support not only with ideas, but also with the practical steps needed to bring those ideas to life.
