Consultation
This valuable collaborative consultation enables us to assess the design opportunity and for you to get to know us and benefit from our experience, prior to making a full commitment to the project. We listen intently, input our initial thoughts and ideas, prepare a final brief and clear action plan for your consideration and sign off.
Design Concept
The magic begins! We explore ideas and create carefully considered solutions to realise your dreams. This will be presented as inspiring mood-boards, layouts and initial design drawings, depending on the project scope, to demonstrate the aesthetic and functional design direction. The preferred concept will be fine-tuned in line with your comments.
Design Detailing
Every element of the design is developed and then reviewed to ensure that the design flows and works as a cohesive whole. Sourcing lists, detailed specifications and technical drawings produced in-line with the project requirements. A design pack will be prepared to facilitate the transformation of your individual design into a physical reality.
Implementation
Successfully transforming the detailed design into the desired reality is an iterative process, requiring continued creative interpretation and practical problem solving as the physical space evolves. Working with our network of trade specialists, this phase includes the production of tender documents, schedules of work, briefing, co-ordinating and supporting contractors, managing deliveries, installation and styling, as required.

“Bringing two apartments together and creating a cohesive home from scratch in France during Covid was potentially quite a challenge, but in fact progressed without mishap and the result is exactly what we wanted.
The design is shaped around life with our extended family, with a layout that gives the apartment a sense of space and quiet luxury. Rather than filling every corner, we wanted to let the rooms breathe and create a feeling of calm.

The transformation has made the most of the historic setting while giving it a bold, contemporary feel.
We love the contrast between the original walls, the steel-beam mezzanine and glass balustrades, and the almost-black floor against the honey-coloured walls.
It feels dramatic and full of character, yet warm and welcoming too. The result is a truly special second home in the heart of Montpellier, with a urban loft vibe.

Can you help if I live in the UK but own a home in France?
Yes. We understand that many clients may not be at their French property throughout the project. We can combine planned property visits with remote design work and coordinated installation periods to keep the project moving.
Depending on the project, we can work with trusted partners alongside local tradespeople, artisans and craftspeople. Our previous French project experience has involved working with both European teams and specialist UK-based makers and suppliers.
