Luxury Bathroom Design

Bespoke bathrooms designed with the same care as the rest of your home, from layout and finishes to lighting and fittings.

OUR APPROACH

We approach bathroom design the way we design every other room: as part of the whole home, not an afterthought bolted on at the end. A luxury bathroom is not just about the fittings you choose. It is the layout, the finish, the light, and how the room feels first thing in the morning and last thing at night.

We work on everything from a single ensuite to a full bathroom suite, often solving the layout problems that older properties create: small footprints, awkward shapes, poor natural light. Kitchen and bathroom design is part of our wider renovation service, so your bathroom is planned alongside the rest of your home, not designed in isolation.

Bathrooms are one of the places where the right finish makes the biggest difference. We work with materials such as Tadelakt plaster for a seamless, grout-free look, alongside natural stone, bespoke joinery and considered lighting design.

Our Process

Consultation

We start by understanding how you use the space, what is not working, and the feel you want to create.

Concept & Plan

We work out the best possible layout for the space, then develop the material palette, sanitaryware and lighting scheme.

Design Detailing

Finishes, fittings, joinery and lighting are drawn together into one coherent scheme, down to the smallest detail.

Implementation

We can deliver the bathroom with our trusted trade network, or hand you a plan to build at your own pace.

Featured Luxury Bathroom Design Project

Tadelakt Bathroom Design in London

Exterior home & garden renovation to include front entrance, back terraces, pool area, pergola design and planting plan.

The garden was designed to create a wow factor, reflect the contemporary interior, and be mindful of ongoing maintenance requirements.

“As with many old houses the bathrooms were an afterthought and therefore small with little opportunity to extend. Lorraine, employing great design, has maximised the space and created a luxurious main bathroom and a functional yet beautiful ensuite shower room.”

What clients say about OUR BATHROOM DESIGN PROJECTS

hOME INTERIOR DESIGN

“We had to design and build at the same time and Gill showed enormous patience during a very stressful period for us. She helped us to find out what we liked and turned our house into a dream home. We often get complimented on the design by guests and it’s a testament to how Gill worked with colour, light and space. Thanks guys, we will see you for our next project!”

WHOLE HOUSE RENOVATION

“We spent time getting the space planning right - first moving the kitchen, improving the flow between rooms and completely rethinking areas of the bedroom and bathroom accommodation. From there, it was about bringing warmth and personality back into the house.

What I love about the finished project is that every room now has a reason for being there. It feels elegant and considered, but above all it feels like a home designed around the family who live in it”

Bathroom renovation

“We engaged Decorbuddi for a full bathroom renovation plus some other work for our flat. The project was overseen by Caroline.

It began with an initial consultation where we communicated our ideas and got some preliminary advice on estimated costs etc. After we agreed to start the project, she helped with every aspect of it including designing, sourcing, and project management. It was particularly helpful that she helped us obtaining quotes from different contractors, accompanied us during their site visits, asking the right questions, and advising us along the way. Also she was able to coordinate between the various contractors on our behalf.”

Your Bathroom Design Questions Answered

How do I make a bathroom look luxurious?

1

It's rarely one big-ticket item. Layout comes first, so the room doesn't feel cramped around the fittings. Then finish quality: a single considered material such as Tadelakt or natural stone reads as more expensive than several competing ones, warm metallics such as brushed brass or bronze rather than chrome, and lighting that's layered rather than one central spotlight. The things that actually look expensive are restraint and proportion, not the price tag on any one item.

What makes a bathroom look tacky rather than high-end?

2

Designers point to a consistent set of culprits: bulky, oversized vanities that crowd a small room; glossy, mismatched tiling; plastic fittings and accessories that discolour and cheapen the look over time; and visual clutter left out on surfaces. The fix is usually less about how much you spend and more about editing down and choosing the correct elements.

Can you improve a small or awkward bathroom?

3

Yes. Small and oddly shaped bathrooms, common in older properties, are one of the areas where good design makes the biggest difference. We plan the layout carefully before choosing any finishes.

Do you design to trends?

4

Both trends and first principles inform the work, but trends are a starting point, not the brief. We'd rather build a bathroom around materials and proportions that will still look considered in ten years, using current colour and finish thinking to sharpen the details rather than define the whole scheme.
