Interior Design

Wimbledon Village

The total redesign and renovation of a beautiful property in Wimbledon Village. We were tasked with the complete interior design of the house.

Initially working off plan, we were invited to design the interior, to include the entire ground floor, incorporating open-plan living and dining, games room, library, office, utility, cloakroom, entrance hall and staircase.

We later went on to help with the conversion of the garage into home office and gym and update the bedrooms and bathrooms.

"The project commenced at the start of Covid 19. Luckily we had already had initial site visits and started working with the architectural plans. We were able to continue online, drawing up the detailed designs and specifications, until lockdown laws eased. We follow this process for our International Projects, today."

More About the Renovation of this Wimbledon Village Family Home

Situated in one of South West London’s most prestigious residential districts, this substantial Wimbledon property underwent a comprehensive redesign to transform it into a spectacular family home. Known for its generous gardens, elegant homes and green surroundings, Wimbledon offers the perfect setting for indoor-outdoor living.

Our clients appointed us as their interior design partners from the earliest stages of their full renovation and extension. Working alongside the architectural and construction teams, we developed a cohesive vision that connects every part of the ground floor, establishes strong visual links to the landscaped gardens, and creates elevated yet durable spaces for modern family life.

Design & Renovation Collaboration

We were involved from the outset, working initially from architectural plans before moving through full specification, joinery design, material sourcing and spatial detailing. Our role was to bring clarity, creativity and design coordination to a complex refurbishment - ensuring that every decision, from layout to lighting placement, supported the overall design narrative.

Our scope included the open-plan living and dining spaces, media room, study, library, games room, office, utility, cloakroom, stairwell and entrance hall, later extending to the bedrooms and conversion of the garage into a gym and first-floor home office. This was a project of significant scale and ambition.

Shaping a Home for Modern Multi-Generational Living

The layout was entirely re-imagined to support contemporary family life. The new extension forms the heart of the home, allowing living, dining and relaxing spaces to flow effortlessly between one another. Each area is defined by subtle zoning - bespoke joinery, intelligent lighting, refined materials - rather than partitioning, allowing family members to share the space while pursuing different activities. Practicality and aesthetic sit side by side.

A Seamless Indoor - Outdoor Connection

For luxury homes in Wimbledon and similar areas, a strong connection to the garden is one of the most valued aspects of modern living. This project was created to embrace that feeling year-round.

From the moment the front door opens, the eye is drawn through the entrance hall and into the garden beyond. Every material was selected to reinforce this sense of continuity: wide parquet flooring that carries through the entire ground floor, natural finishes, and a colour language that mirrors the landscape just outside.

By aligning the architectural glazing with circulation lines and sightlines, the interior and garden become two halves of one environment - a hallmark of integrated living in premium homes.

Design Language: Calm, Layered and Contemporary

The interiors combine soft neutral tones with richer accents and carefully chosen details to create spaces that feel warm, elegant and inviting. Statement lighting and bespoke cabinetry define key areas, while sculptural furniture and textured upholstery add depth, comfort and character.

Each room has its own distinct atmosphere - from rich fabrics and deeper tones in the quieter reading areas to soft plaster finishes in the main living space - while still feeling cohesive throughout. The result is a design that feels both contemporary and timeless.

Materials, Craftsmanship & Tailored Detailing

High-value renovations demand precision, and this project is rich in bespoke craftsmanship. Every joinery piece - from the floor-to-ceiling shelving to the concealed bar hatch and integrated media units was designed by our team and made by trusted makers.

Specialist finishes, including Marmorino polished plaster and colour-matched Tadelakt surfaces, introduce an artisan quality while delivering durability for busy family life. Lighting was designed to spotlight material textures, create layered moods and subtly guide movement through the home.

Considering Every Member of the Household

Workspaces were created with equal emphasis on function and beauty - dedicated home offices, children’s homework zones and a converted loft office all benefit from tailored cabinetry and carefully considered ergonomics.

The games room and media areas were designed for flexibility and storage, ensuring that the home supports both everyday routines and relaxed family gatherings.

Challenges & How We Navigated Them

Large-scale renovations in substantial London homes require robust design processes. Key challenges included: aligning architectural plans with an evolving interior vision, maintaining cohesive detailing across numerous interconnected rooms, delivering bespoke joinery designs to exacting standards, coordinating with multiple contractors and specialist trades, ensuring integrated garden views informed all interior decisions.
