Juliet Elliott

Interior Designer

I have a particular love of artwork. It is what gives your home personality and a unique sense of your own style and taste. If you buy artwork you love, you can always find a place for it.

Following a career in the City spanning 27 years, Juliet decided to follow her passion for interior design and re-trained at the prestigious KLC School of Design.

Juliet’s background means she brings clarity and calm, as well as creative energy to every project, grounded in a design process that begins not with trends, but with truly listening. She takes the time to understand how clients live, what they love, and how they want their home to feel, building trust and momentum with thoughtful planning and open communication.

“Whilst my own signature style is ‘Classic Contemporary’ incorporating colour, texture and a mix of new and vintage pieces, I firmly believe that the design process should be client lead and deliver wholly to your wants and needs. Taking time to discuss your tastes and requirements at the beginning of the process enables us to achieve a design that is perfectly suited to your style and aspirations.

The foundation of any great design is listening. It’s not about imposing a style, it’s about understanding how someone lives, how they want to feel in their space, and turning that into something both beautiful and deeply personal.”

Juliet is a residential interior designer based in Essex and works with clients in Essex, London and Hertfordshire. Projects include both indoor spaces and beautiful garden rooms.

What clients say about Juliet

Interior Design, London

“We asked Juliet to help us with our living room design. It was a completely blank canvass in our new home, and we didn’t know where to start. Juliet was extremely friendly, responsive, and professional. She came to our home to see the lighting in the room and take measurements, and asked us insightful questions about our home and our lives more generally, in order to make sure she got the initial brief right. This process was incredibly helpful, as everything she suggested for the room going forward was in line with our tastes and needs. We were so happy with the finished living room that we then asked Juliet to help us with our office too, and were equally happy with the outcome again. We do not have a bad word to say about Juliet, and recommend her interior design services extremely highly. (You won’t be disappointed!)”

Interior Design, London

“We worked with Juliet from Decorbuddi on creating more storage in our 3 bedroom flat by adding some custom joinery and repurposing our office into a children’s room for our daughter.

Juliet did a great job, I really feel like she went above and beyond.

We did change our minds several times, Juliet was very accommodating and understanding. She was always available for questions and suggestions, highly professional.

We are very happy with the end result and the quality of the joiner”

Interior Design, Essex

“Juliet really understood our brief to incorporate some colour and functionality into the scheme and to make the spaces work for us better in terms of layout and the provision of adequate storage.

She has a real attention to detail and proposed some fabulous design ideas that we would not have considered ourselves.

The result; a scheme that we are proud to show off but one which stands up to the everyday chaos of family life.”

More About Juliet Elliott

Juliet’s transition from a long-established career in the City to interior design reflects her deep-rooted passion for creating homes that feel uplifting and intuitive to live in. Her training at the KLC School of Design equipped her with a strong design foundation, which she blends with the calm assurance and clear communication style developed throughout her corporate career. Juliet approaches each project by first seeking to understand the flow of family life, the mood a client hopes to create and the practicalities that shape their day-to-day routine. From her base in Essex, she now works with clients across Essex, North London and Hertfordshire, designing interiors and garden rooms that are thoughtful, welcoming and tailored to the people who call them home.

Background & Career Journey

Juliet’s early career in the City established her reputation for meticulous organisation, clear communication and client-focused project management - skills that now underpin her design practice. After retraining in residential interior design, she launched her own boutique interior design studio in Essex, developing interiors that balanced practicality with considered detail. Although she loved the one-to-one nature of her work, she longed for the creative exchange offered by a wider team. In 2023 she started up her Decorbuddi interior design business, where she now works collaboratively with clients and other Decorbuddi designers and our wider network of trade specialists to deliver carefully crafted residential projects across Essex and London.

Areas Juliet Covers

Juliet works with clients throughout Essex, East London, North London and Hertfordshire. Her projects range from full home redesigns to the transformation of individual rooms, as well as the design of garden rooms and standalone spaces. Her experience spans period homes, listed buildings, modern apartments and substantial new-build properties, allowing her to support clients across a wide range of architectural styles and lifestyles.

Design Style & Approach

As with all Decorbuddi interior designers, Juliet begins each project with a clear understanding of her clients’ needs, preferences and aspirations. Her design work is rooted in a deep understanding of how her clients want to live and feel in their homes. She brings a measured, intuitive approach to every brief, shaping interiors that pair an elegant contemporary aesthetic with warmth, comfort and thoughtful practicality. Her schemes often feature gentle layering, nuanced colour, and a curated interplay of modern and antique elements. Juliet pays close attention to proportion, architectural rhythm and the behaviour of natural light, crafting rooms that flow naturally and feel quietly balanced. Her aim is always to create spaces that are uplifting and uniquely attuned to the people who live inhabit them.

Notable Projects

Juliet has worked on a variety of residential projects across Essex and London. These include the comprehensive redesign of an Essex country house, where she developed a cohesive interior scheme that brought warmth and character to the home. She also completed the full redesign of an Edwardian property, incorporating layout alterations, a new kitchen and bathrooms, and complete decoration and furnishing. Juliet has completed the interior design of a Dutch barn–style garden room in Epping, specifying all fixtures, fittings and furniture for both the interior and surrounding outdoor areas.

Another significant project involved the total interior design of a substantial Edwardian-style new-build home, comprising a basement and three upper floors. Juliet provided early-stage design input, kitchen layout consultation, bespoke joinery design, full decoration, window treatments and extensive furniture sourcing.

Her London work includes the refurbishment of the first floor of a Victorian Grade II listed home, where she improved the layout, developed bespoke joinery and redesigned the en-suite bathroom. Across all her work, Juliet combines creativity with precision, supported by trusted contractors and a structured approach that ensures smooth and well-managed delivery.
