Virginia Water
Wentworth EstaTe Interior & Garden Design
Located within the exclusive Wentworth Estate in Virginia Water, this extensive renovation transformed a tired and dated property into an elegant family home inspired by classic English design. Working closely with the homeowners and their local representative while the family were based in Singapore, our team delivered a complete redesign of the interior, landscaped gardens and a bespoke garden room, overseeing every stage from concept development through to implementation.
The project focused on enhancing natural light, improving the flow of the home and creating timeless interiors that complemented the property's Georgian-style architecture.
Alongside the interior refurbishment, we rejuvenated the old garden with a large terrace for dining & relaxed seating . The new ‘get-a-way from it all’ contemporary Garden Room and and seating areas were designed to provide peaceful spaces to spend time within the newly updated planting.

More About This Luxury Interior Design Project on The Wentworth Estate, Virginia Water
Interior Design for a Georgian-Inspired Family Home
This was a truly rewarding project that completely transformed a dated property into a sophisticated and timeless home with a distinctly English character. The design brief centred around creating light-filled, elegant interiors that respected the Georgian architectural language of the exterior while introducing modern functionality for contemporary family living.
A palette of soft neutrals was selected throughout the property, complemented by muted mid-blue accents that brought calmness, warmth and continuity from room to room. Extensive wall panelling was incorporated throughout the house, adding architectural detail and a sense of heritage while creating depth within the understated colour scheme.
One of the most significant structural changes involved removing the dividing wall between the kitchen and living room to create a generous open-plan living space. Large bifold doors spanning the rear elevation strengthened the connection to the garden, while internal Crittall-style glazing allowed natural light to travel deep into the floorplan, dramatically enhancing both brightness and flow.
The bathrooms were designed to evoke the feel of a luxury hotel, featuring large-format porcelain marble-effect tiles, bespoke brassware and custom-designed shower enclosures tailored specifically to each space. Every detail was carefully considered to achieve a refined and cohesive finish.
Lighting played a vital role throughout the home. A layered lighting scheme combined architectural LED lighting, decorative wall sconces, recessed spotlights and statement feature fittings, including a dramatic chandelier within the entrance hall. The result is a home that feels equally inviting during daylight hours and in the evening.
Bespoke storage solutions were integrated throughout the property to maximise practicality without compromising aesthetics. Custom joinery included floor-to-ceiling bedroom wardrobes, under-stair pull-out shoe storage, fitted home office furniture, and full-height desks and bookcases within the loft space, ensuring every area of the home worked seamlessly for modern family life.
Bespoke Garden Room Design
Separate from the main residence, the garden room was conceived as a personal retreat exclusively for the homeowner. From the outset, the brief was intentionally different from the rest of the property, creating a dedicated space for work, exercise and relaxation within the privacy of the garden.
The design adopted a darker, more masculine aesthetic, centred around rich deep-blue tones that create a cocooning and atmospheric environment. Industrial influences were introduced through the use of Dekton Trilium worktops, while dark leather bar stools provided warmth and texture against the clean-lined furniture and architectural detailing.
Functionality was carefully tailored to the client's lifestyle. Rather than a full kitchen, the space incorporates discreet amenities including hot water facilities, refrigeration for drinks and ice, and dedicated storage features designed specifically around the owner's personal interests and routines.
Lighting was again a key component of the design. Layered illumination allows the atmosphere to shift throughout the day, combining task lighting, dimmable wall lights, pendant fittings and concealed LED lighting beneath the bar area to create both functionality and ambience.
Landscape Design
Alongside the renovation of the house, we developed the garden design to create a series of elegant outdoor spaces that complemented both the architecture of the property and the way the family wanted to live. The design centred around strengthening the connection between house and garden, with an expansive terrace for entertaining, generous open lawn areas and carefully layered planting that provides year-round interest while maintaining views across the landscape.
The garden was designed to feel relaxed, timeless and naturalistic, balancing formal elements with softer planting and curved borders. Thoughtfully integrated lighting, mature trees and a secluded garden room create a variety of spaces for entertaining, family life and quiet retreat, transforming the grounds into an extension of the home itself.
