STEPHANIE BAILEY

Interior Designer

Whether it’s a full renovation or a turnkey home abroad, my role is to help clients shape spaces that reflect who they are. I love combining beauty with practicality - layering colour, texture, and personal touches to create homes that feel effortlessly lived-in and completely individual.

With a background spanning textile design and more than two decades in the creative industries, Stephanie Bailey has developed a refined, intuitive approach to interior design shaped by work with leading fashion and lifestyle brands including Reiss, LK Bennett, Selfridges and Toast. Her time as Head of Creative at Toast saw her directing visual environments, sourcing vintage pieces and shaping immersive spaces - experience that continues to inform the depth and originality of her interiors today.

Stephanie creates homes that feel thoughtful, characterful and deeply personal, always beginning with how a space needs to function before layering colour, materiality and collected detail. Known for her instinctive ability to interpret a client’s taste and translate it into a cohesive vision, she guides each project with warmth, clarity and creative confidence.

Based in South West London, Stephanie works with clients across London and France on renovation, refurbishment and turnkey interior design projects.

What clients say about Stephanie

Interior Design, Chiswick

“Steph from Decorbuddi worked with me on the redecoration of my living room. I had some ideas of my own but I was stumped at where to start or how to pull it all together. Steph worked collaboratively with me during the project- I feel I have made my own decisions but Steph has supported me and guided me throughout and she gave me confidence to be a bit braver in my decisions!

Steph worked incredibly hard during the project, she helped organise the tradespeople and liaised with them for me which was a fantastic help. Steph totally understood my taste and style -it is quite a skill to grasp this and I am so happy with the final result. I would love to work with Steph again on future projects. I would highly recommend Decorbuddi and Steph to anyone needing design advice.”

House Renovation, Twickenham

“Steph was absolutely invaluable during our house renovation project. Her ideas and skilful eye made an immediate impact and she was such an enormous help throughout.

We were really lacking in time and design ideas and Steph was able to interpret our brief really quickly and supplied so many ideas and inspiration that elevated the entire project and enabled us to achieve a finish beyond our imagination!

Her patience, dedication and professionalism was abundant and we’d highly recommend Steph. We couldn’t have done it without her.”

Ground Floor, Twickenham

“We recently worked with Steph on a project to reconfigure our open plan kitchen, dining area and lounge and create a space that worked better for us as a family. Steph provided incredible advice and getting us to think outside the box from start to finish. She was able to take our existing space and visualise how we could dramatically change it to give us more space and function better too.

Once the building work was advanced, she came into her own and had so many ideas and advice but without bombarding us and feeling out of depth. Her understanding of colours, textures, materials, flow and space are incredible.

We would love to work with Steph again and we have already recommended her to several friends.”

More About Stephanie Bailey

Based in South West London and working across London and France, Stephanie Bailey is a highly experienced interior designer known for her deeply client-focused approach and her ability to deliver original, characterful homes through full renovation and turnkey design projects. Her work ranges from colourful London family houses to carefully restored period properties and a fully realised French farmhouse renovation, each shaped by a thoughtful understanding of how her clients live and what they want their homes to become.

Stephanie’s interiors are never formulaic. Instead, every project evolves from a close reading of the brief, resulting in spaces that feel individual, emotionally resonant and beautifully resolved. As part of the Decorbuddi team, she combines personal creative direction with the reassurance of an established professional framework, enabling complex projects in both London and France to move smoothly from concept to completion.

Background & Career Journey

Stephanie’s creative journey began with a degree in Textile Design in Leeds, forming the foundation for her instinctive understanding of colour, pattern and texture. She went on to build an influential career in visual merchandising and creative direction, working with brands including Reiss, LK Bennett and Selfridges before becoming Head of Creative for the lifestyle brand Toast. In this role she directed visual merchandising, lifestyle imagery, vintage sourcing and immersive installations, including pop-up restaurants and experiential environments.

This rich creative background naturally evolved into interiors. After undertaking a complete renovation of her own family home, local commissions quickly followed and her interior design practice grew organically. Since joining Decorbuddi, Stephanie has developed a strong reputation for placing clients and their families at the centre of every decision, ensuring that each home is both beautiful and deeply personal.

Areas Stephanie Covers

Stephanie works primarily across South West and Central London as well as selected projects in France. She is currently engaged in residential renovations in both locations, reflecting her ability to manage design continuity across different architectural contexts while maintaining close collaboration with clients and contractors.

Her portfolio spans London period houses, 1930s family homes, contemporary interiors and rural French properties, always approached with the same depth of care and creative individuality.

Design Style & Approach

Stephanie does not impose a signature style. Instead, her work begins with careful listening, uncovering the subtle cues within a client’s brief that shape a truly personal design direction. Function is always considered first - how a space will be lived in, moved through and experienced - before form, colour and texture are layered in to create warmth, harmony and character.

Her background in textiles gives her a refined sensitivity to colour relationships, print and materiality, allowing her to work confidently across both subtle, tonal interiors and more expressive, layered schemes. She is also a passionate collector, skilfully blending antiques, vintage finds and salvaged pieces with contemporary elements to create homes that feel timeless rather than trend-driven. Influenced by the Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi, Stephanie embraces authenticity, imperfection and quiet beauty within her interiors.

Above all, she is known for the depth of attention she gives to every brief, ensuring that each finished space feels entirely individual to the people who live there.

Notable Renovations & Interior Projects

Stephanie’s recent work includes a diverse range of residential transformations across London and France. These include the full turnkey renovation of a traditional French farmhouse, colourful transitional interiors within London family homes, the redesign of kitchens and loft extensions in 1930s properties, and complete refurbishments that carefully balance architectural change with decorative richness.

Across every project, Stephanie remains closely involved from early concept through to final installation, ensuring that the original creative vision is carried through with clarity and care. The result is a body of work defined by cohesion, comfort and enduring character.
